Security & Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our core feature. Vanizz is designed to be ephemeral and anonymous.

1. No Accounts Required

You can use Vanizz completely anonymously. We do not require email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords to use the basic features.

2. Data Retention & Deletion

We enforce strict data expiration policies to ensure your files do not stay on our servers longer than necessary:

• Standard Sessions: Files are stored for a maximum of 10 hours. After this period, they are permanently wiped from our storage.
• Inactive Sessions: If all participants leave a session room, a 2-minute timer starts. If no one rejoins, the session and all its files are deleted.
• Manual Deletion: You have the power to delete files instantly from your session.

3. File Transfer Security

Vanizz uses two methods for file transfer:

• P2P (Peer-to-Peer): When possible (devices on the same network/WiFi), files serve directly between devices. The server only acts as a signaling broker and does not store the file content.
• Cloud Relay: When P2P is not possible, files are encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored temporarily on our secure servers until they expire.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal cookies strictly for session functionality (e.g., reconnecting you if you refresh the page). We use Google AdSense for monetization, which may use cookies for ad personalization.
